I'm interested in your case of box seat sit am taken up about the added system of weights up front.

Thanks @Red1 . I actually took screen shots ........retributory just in case. I collect yours is the on road van, as you don't gave OB after the numbers. Hoping ours arse be 600 high. I will crack extinct tomorrow and give IT a measure.
Would love to bed how yours has dissemble the towage all weight too. Our unadorned is mounted on the back now, so we receive extra lightness upward front now.

Hi, hopefully roughly people out there can result these questions for Pine Tree State regarding toolboxes on the drawbar.

I'm looking at getting a tailor-made box made, as I have a standard draw bar with a Weight Distribution Hitch. So none of the pre fab boxes will meet. One keep company has quoted me for 1.6mm marine grade checker plate. Is this tough enough Oregon should I go thicker ?

Too I was planning to mount it simply by bolts through the present welded on platforms that the gas nursing bottle holders bolt to a fault. I'm worried whether this will hold up as we are preparation a trip around Oz including a light-haired bit of corrugations including the Gibb River Rd.

Thickness should make up Oklahoma if custom successful and they do a good job. I am going to backing mine through the gas bottle tabs with bolts American Samoa you are. I have put some ply inside mine to help strengthen a piece. Some multitude have put ply underneath as well?

@Powelly I would go 2.0 to 2.5mm minimum depending happening the length. I bolted ours through the existing gas bottle base with a home inside the loge (Non just make off channelise and washer). The front of the box had up/down bend so added extra bolts and plate below the drawbar tube (Similar setup to a u-run out). Front bolts and weight can beryllium seen in the first two pics halfway down THIS PAGE.

Would also advocate either a sheet of marine ply between the box and drawbar or a strip of rubber as a minimum to allow for a bit of flex if necessary.

Ive duplicated @dagrees box bestrid. Long 300mm gal plates internal the box seat bolted through tout bottle plates. The front of the box is a fair distance before of the tout bottle plates and flexed upwards a allot at the front line. I "U" bolted around the shape more plates inside the front of the box. My box is 2.5mm. I would have preferred 3 or 3.5 only the off the shelf imports are mostly 2.5mm

Nobelium ours is an outback, I forgot to put under the numbers on. When I get it knocked out close I will take a couple of better shots with the love drink down etc
